MISCELLANEOUS RECIPES

PLAYDOUGH- Melinda B.

This is my favourite recipe....when I used to work in daycare ( before my kids were born ) this was the only recipe they would use.  It NEVER gets sticky, I find the ones where there is no cream of tartar too sticky to use.

1 cup flour
2 tsp cream of tartar
1/2 cup salt
1 cup water
food colouring
2 tbsp oil

Cook at low heat in saucepan until a ball is formed, dump out onto lightly floured surface and work with hands.

BEST BUBBLE STUFF IN THE WORLD- Teresa B.

6 cups water
¾ cup light corn syrup
2 cups good quality dishwashing liquid

Mix together in a dishpan, store in a closed container, and let the kids have fun.

In a measuring cup, mix
1 cup boiling water
l tbsp vegetable oil
some food coloring.

Combine both. Mix, knead and ready to use. Store in an airtight container.

QUESADILLAS - Keri K.

You can use whatever you want (which is great to use up leftovers).

Melt 1/2 cup cream cheese
Mix with 1/2 cup salsa
Put in the fridge while getting other ingredients together
Chop green peppers, onions, chicken (or any meat on hand or none at all)
Grate cheese
Spread cream cheese mixture on half of tortilla
Add remaining ingredients and fold over tortilla
Place on cookie sheet and bake until brown (usually about 10-15 minutes)
Enjoy with sour cream.
